A deeply passionate and imaginative performer, Rosie Gallagher enjoys a varied life as a musician around the world. Born in Sydney Australia, she received a BM from The Juilliard School and a MM from the Royal Academy of Music. She has performed with groups that include the 21c Festival of Contemporary Music, Yellowbarn Music Festival, Heartbeat Opera, Australian Opera and Ballet Orchestra and Ensemble Connnect which is a two year fellowship program of Carnegie Hall and the Weill Music Institute that combines artistic excellence with social engagement training.
Rosie is an experienced and nurturing educator having taught both privately and within institutions over the last decade. She holds a private flute studio and welcomes anyone who wishes to expand their musicality and technique.
Rosie enjoys exploring her ideas and imagination in her creative writing that encompasses poetry, prose and the colours that lie in between the two.
